In our small town, community isn't something we just talk about - it's something we show up for. Each event in town plays a part in the future we're working together to shape. Over the past few weeks and with the ones ahead, our calendar has been full, how we like it!
With a new director, the Ellis Public Library is working to reignite local youth's passion for storytelling, while also being a welcoming spot for all community members to read, connect, and learn. Just yesterday, they opened their doors for an Open House to support the installation of two new water fountains, providing a filtered fountain and water bottle refill station. With over 80 guests, the Open House was a great success and we encourage you to stop in and see the new improvements or learn about the upcoming ones!

The Alliance had the privilege of participating in a Community Baby Shower hosted by K-State Research and Extension's Cottonwood District. Our director, Alicia, had the opportunity to meet growing families local to Ellis and connect them to local resources, and share what our community is all about. Thanks to donations from our local Chamber, and Tim Kohlrus of Shelter Insurance, we were able to send hope every mom that stopped by our booth with a bag of goodies to prepare for their little ones. The response was overwhelming and we were able to spread information about our town to families far beyond Ellis.

Coming up, some spring fun! The Ellis Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Easter Egg will be Sunday April 19th, 2025 at Good Samaritan Society in Ellis. Bring the kiddos, and a basket and leave with enough candy to last you until Halloween. Talks are there could be a familiar furry friend....
With the end of school just around the corner, the Ellis High School Alumni Association's Annual Reunion is coming up close behind. During this year's celebrations, the Ellis Alliance will be hosting an open house to present our new media collection, made possible by nearby artists MaKinlie McCrae and Alex Perez. Shop our new office merchandise made by local Ellis artists, view our new wall art, and take in a 90-second commercial showcasing Ellis, as well as over 150 photographs of our rural community. Stop by and say hello, or stay for a snack and chat after the parade. See how this benefits artists in our town.
We're proud to be involved in the threads that weave the fabric of our future. Together, with community pride and the drive to propel our town forward, we can keep making Ellis a place we're happy to call home.
See how you can get involved!
